Allard J car Sidney Allard competed in amateur trials before moving on to the international rally and racing scene His first cars were handmade to individual designs but in he began a company manufacturing specialist sports and touring cars With no luggage space and little weather protection the J was primarily designed for participation in sporting events Only Js were built between and LLP was an exworks TT car raced by Allard himself Originally built for experimental purposes it had a litre Cadillac engine It was later fitted with a Mercury V and Ardun ohv conversion
