Thrawn - Join The Empire
Artist: Andrew Switzer
For this year’s San Diego Comic-Con poster, I wanted to create something that felt like authentic Imperial propaganda—bold, intimidating, and larger than life. Inspired by vintage wartime posters, the piece combines weathered textures, strong typography, and a limited color palette to give it a timeless, in-universe feel.
Thrawn’s calm but commanding presence became the centerpiece, surrounded by the overwhelming power of the Imperial fleet and stormtrooper ranks. My goal was to make the artwork feel both collectible and cinematic, while capturing the scale, control, and oppression of the Empire.

Mustafar - Domain of the Sith
Artist: Joe Corroney
The fiery, volcanic planet of Mustafar sets the scene for this poster art by Joe Corroney, featuring the iconic main villains of the Star Wars saga: Darth Vader and his master, the Sith architect of evil, Darth Sidious. The planet Mustafar and Vader’s fortress-citadel there serve as a retreat and personal stronghold for the Dark Lord of the Sith, where he returns to meditate and heal, contemplating on his throne his near-death duel with his former Jedi mentor as seen in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Ruthless! Relentless! Redeemed!
Artist: Russell Walks
As a Sergio Leone fan, I’ve always viewed his Spaghetti Westerns as comic books brought to life, painting the Old West in bold cinematic ink as they explore the timeless struggle between light and dark, while the main character is transformed from anti-hero to hero. That DNA runs deep through The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, so for this year’s Comic-Con Exclusive, Ruthless! Relentless! Redeemed!, I decided to explore Leone’s iconic style of dramatic close-ups and widescreen storytelling to capture three defining archetypes of modern Star Wars:
Cad Bane — ruthless, cold-blooded, and driven by profit.
Boba Fett — relentless in his pursuit of vengeance and respect.
Din Djarin — redeemed through his bond with Grogu, learning that protecting the innocent is worth more than credits or pride.

Ahsoka - One With The Force
Artist: Ellie Ripberger
I find Ahsoka Tano to be a strong, exciting character with a bold visual presence. That presence is what I wanted to communicate in this piece as she engages directly with the viewer, her lightsabers crossed in front of her in a confident, confrontational stance. My goal was to capture the determination that defines her character throughout her journey.
I chose to depict Ahsoka in watercolor because of the medium’s spontaneity and unpredictability. Unlike more controlled techniques, watercolor allows colors to blend and flow naturally, creating movement and energy within the painting. This approach gives the piece a looser, more organic feel that offers a fresh interpretation of a familiar character. The soft transitions and layered washes of watercolor contrast with Ahsoka’s strength and intensity, creating a balance between power and vulnerability. This approach allowed me to present a more expressive and human interpretation of the character.

Darth Vader Rise
Artist: Andrew Switzer
Designed to mark the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith, this poster captures the exact moment Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader. A tight crop on his helmet draws focus, with the fateful duel against Obi-Wan reflected in the eyepiece—a final glimpse of the Jedi he once was. The fiery landscape of Mustafar burns in the background, mirroring his descent. The single word “RISE” echoes Palpatine’s command, marking the point of no return.

A New Hope
Artist: Russell Walks
With the recent excitement surrounding Andor and Rogue One, artist Russell Walks decided to take a fresh look back at Star Wars: A New Hope, through a lens colored by the latest Star Wars story. Using a cool color palette much like the one used in Andor, Walks focuses on Princess Leia and R2, the Rebellion's emissaries to Obi-Wan Kenobi, as they embark on a heroic journey that, ultimately, will change the course of galactic history.

The Battle of Coruscant
Artist: Joe Corroney
In celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Revenge of the Sith this year I chose to spotlight the menacing Separatist leader General Grievous and his droid army as they strike the heart of the Republic, the city planet of Coruscant, from the beginning of the film. Grievous is a fan favorite character and one of my favorite villains from the Star Wars saga and this intense battle is a particular highlight from the film for me. This artwork is also designed to be a companion piece to my exclusive Battle of Kashyyyk poster art featuring Yoda and his Wookiee allies available at my booth 4300 for this year’s SDCC.

Rebel Scum
Artist: Ellie Ripberger
This poster is a light-hearted tribute to the rebels we love–and the Empire loves to hate. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca are the original rebel scum of the galaxy. Inspired by the Brat Pack of the 80s, artist Ellie Ripberger chose to use a bold graphic style and poses that reflect the mischievous rebel determination classic to Star Wars. It’s a depiction of cool confidence and daring defiance.

Rogue One
Artist: Sarah Wilkinson
I wanted to focus on K-2SO's essential role in fighting the Empire and his compelling character arc, which traces his transformation from Imperial security droid to dedicated Resistance fighter.
The top section shows the Signal Tower, its beam carrying the Death Star plans to the Profundity ship above. Fan favorite ships fill the scene, including the Y-Wing, X-Wing, Ghost, and U-Wing. The middle section focuses on the data card, shown behind K2SO with the round gold panel. This card is later given to Princess Leia, who seeks Obi-Wan's help: "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope." Finally, the bottom section presents a contrasting view: the Imperial Landing Platform and the stunning beaches of Scariff, defended by two imposing AT-ACTs and a smaller AT-ST.
I designed the border as gold connectors that might be found on the data card. The color palette, inspired by the Maldives beaches where parts of Rogue One were filmed, transitions from tan sands and sea-green waters to the deep blues of space.
