Giclee art prints allow you to introduce some of the world's most famous artworks into your home gallery. Giclee printing is the standard for museums and galleries around the world. In this printing process, richly pigmented ink droplets are sprayed onto high-quality paper or canvas. To be considered a giclee art print, the art must be rendered in high resolution onto premium mediums using pigment inks and advanced inkjet printers. Resolution refers to the amount of detail captured in the image. Giclee prints must have at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) and should be printed on quality archival or museum-grade category inkjet paper or canvas. For superior, lasting color tone, pigment-based inks are used. They are composed of small colored particles held in suspension, rather than dye-based. Large format inkjet printers are used to pull the high-resolution image, premium canvas or paper, and rich inks together.
