This premium giclee print, an upgrade from the standard giclee print, is produced on thick (310 gsm), textured watercolor paper made from alpha cellulous wood pulp that is acid free. It shares the same vivid colors, accuracy, and exceptional resolution that make giclee prints the standard for museums and galleries around the world. Giclee (French for "to spray") is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto a highquality paper. The smooth transitions of color gradients make giclee prints appear much more realistic than other prints.
Published October 15, 1931Douglas Pollard features the latest eveningwear from Mainbocher in this graphic work, which appeared in the October 15, 1931, Vogue. From left: a formfitting sapphire-blue velvet gown with a high waist and widely offset straps and a large statement necklace, composed of delicate and heavy elements, which completes the look; and a brown georgette crepe gown, a brown satin pouf at the side, with a more traditional collar necklace to accessorize the ensemble.Photo licensed from the Condé Nast Collection, home of The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair and other popular brands.
