This premium giclee print, an upgrade from the standard giclee print, is produced on thick (310 gsm), textured watercolor paper made from alpha cellulous wood pulp that is acid free. It shares the same vivid colors, accuracy, and exceptional resolution that make giclee prints the standard for museums and galleries around the world. Giclee (French for "to spray") is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto a highquality paper. The smooth transitions of color gradients make giclee prints appear much more realistic than other prints.
Published August 17, 1929Douglas Pollard takes an intimate look at a 'Satin Dinner Ensemble' in this work, which appeared in the August 17, 1929, Vogue. Given that the subject is seated in profile, the back-baring, scoop-neck dress isn't the focus here. Instead, Pollard draws our attention to the Coup de Foudre, the black satin dinner hat by Agnes. These scarflike creations were the height of avant-garde fashion, and with an oversize bow at the nape of the neck, this one is no exception. A simple beaded necklace and matching cuffs are the only other accessories necessary.Photo licensed from the Condé Nast Collection, home of The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair and other popular brands.
