This premium giclee print, an upgrade from the standard giclee print, is produced on thick (310 gsm), textured watercolor paper made from alpha cellulous wood pulp that is acid free. It shares the same vivid colors, accuracy, and exceptional resolution that make giclee prints the standard for museums and galleries around the world. Giclee (French for "to spray") is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto a highquality paper. The smooth transitions of color gradients make giclee prints appear much more realistic than other prints.
Published April 15, 1922Few may realize that Vogue featured articles on period costumes, with illustrations by artist Claire Avery, who provided, from 1921 to 1934, a beautiful array of looks—from Ancient Egyptian to Edwardian. This exotic costume, inspired by the raiment of the Courts of the Caliphs recorded in the great tales of the 'Arabian Nights,' appeared in Vogue's 'Fashions of Arabian Nights and Days,' for the April 15, 1922 issue, and featured a tiered, side-fastened tunic with scrolling carnation pattern, harem pants, and a turban.Photo licensed from the Condé Nast Collection, home of The New Yorker, Vogue, Vanity Fair and other popular brands.
