The Drive, Central Park, 1905, by William Glackens, 1870-1938, American impressionist painting, oil on canvas. When Glackens traveled to Paris in 1895, he was influenced by the paintings of Edouard Manet, Auguste Renoir, and other non-academic painters. He combined his new influences with his work as a newspaper sketch artist, to paint fluid, scenes of spontaneous daily life. (BSLOC_2023_3_35)
