Published May 1, 2002Located in Pinehurst, N.C., and part of the legendary Pinehurst Resort, the Pinehurst No. 2 Golf Course was designed by Donald Ross in 1907. This challenging course, considered one of the best in the country, was No. 19 on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Golf Courses and No. 3 on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses 2007-08. Crowned greens, carefully planned bunkers, unruly routing and water hazards all combine to make this course a challenge and a joy to play.
