Peripheral drift illusion. When the image is viewed in the peripheral vision (indirectly, whilst looking outside of the pattern) it appears to rotate. When observed directly the movement stops. This phenomenon is not fully understood but it is believed that it may be partially a result of rapid intermittent eye movement, or saccade.

Abstract Art

Our collection of abstract art will introduce you to intriguing concepts and emotions evoked by brushstrokes, shapes, and composition of art. Other famous abstract artists include Piet Mondrian, Joan Miro, and Jackson Pollock. See their work come alive with the painterly quality of our museum-grade canvas.
