Organ Hexham Abbey Northumberland Hexham Abbey was originally founded as a Benedictine Monastery in the th century but was replaced by an Augustinian priory in Norman times Much of the church dates from this time c The priory was closed in by the Dissolution of the Monasteries but the chuch survived as Hexhams parish church The organ which was installed in was made by Lawrence Phelps of Pennsylvania
