Color is really just something interesting our brains do with light. Our perception of it exists in the eye as much as in the external world, and could vary more from person to person than well ever know. The art and science of photography is based on ways to record the actions of light: the word "photograph" is based on the Greek words for "light" and "writing." Until the digital age, photographic prints traditionally started with a negative image, with light, dark, and colors reversed in a darkroom. The Light series explores what happens to an image when colors are inverted and shifted into something different, beautiful, light and strange.
