Jack Hobbs, English cricketer, 1925. Sir John Berry Hobbs (1882-1963) in the year that he overtook WG Grace's record of 125 first class centuries. He played for Surrey from 1905 until 1934 and played 61 test matches for England. He ended his career having scored 61,760 runs, with 199 centuries, in both cases records that still stand today.
