Ettore Bugatti. He worked at several car companies before deciding to set up his own company in 1909. In 1910 he created the first serious small car. It was extremely light with a 1.35litre, fourcylinder engine with single overhead camshaft. Four years later, a 16valve configuration became the worlds first series produced multivalve engine. The Bugatti Type 35 became the worlds most important racing car, for its light and efficient construction as well as its body design.
