Old male Espanola giant Galapagos tortoise (Chelonoidis hoodensis) stretching its neck in clearing, Las Tunas, Espanola Island,Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. He was named 'Diego' after San Diego Zoo where he spent several decades before being donated to the breeding effort in Galapagos that restored the species from a low of 15 survivors in the 1960s.
