The parachute which slowed Huygens descent through the atmosphere is draped on the ground behind the spacecraft. Huygens is designed to survive a landing on either a solid or liquid surface, as the composition of Titans surface is unclear. Huygens will return data for between 3 and 30 minutes after landing. Huygens was carried to Titan by the Cassini spacecraft. Huygens will arrive at Titan on 27 November 2004.
