Aqueduct of Segovia, Spain. This Roman aqueduct is 2000 years old, built around the 1st or 2nd centuries AD to supply water over a distance of around 30 kilometres to the town of Segovia. This section consists of single arches, with the city portion of the aqueduct including 167 such arches. This section of the aqueduct was built from granite blocks, with no mortar used, and is entirely freestanding. At its tallest, it reaches a height of over 28 metres. The aqueduct of Segovia and the surrounding town was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
