PRINTING PROCESS
Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) refers to an inkjet printing process where hundreds of millions of ink droplets are "sprayed" onto a high quality paper or canvas. This allows for maximum resolution and color accuracy. We use only archival pigment based inks that are fade resistant and have a lasting life of 100 years.
WHERE DO WE START?
A high resolution digital file is needed. We have access to hundreds of thousands of digital files, many of which are scanned from original artwork, digital photographs, and reproductions. Whether it’s a file direct from the most renowned museums such as the Louvre in Paris or the archives of Marvel Entertainment, we work with only the best files to create our giclée prints.

We’ve sourced only the best. Our watercolor paper is thick – 310 grams per square meter (gsm) and exceeds the International standard of 300 gsm for fine art reproductions. That's about (40% thicker than your average poster or art print) It is made from alpha cellulous wood pulp and is acid and lignin free. The paper is alkaline buffered insuring the longevity of the paper.

We allow high end art to be purchased as affordable artworks. Limited Editions and prints (valued upwards of $1000) often found in museums and galleries are printed using the same giclée printing process. Collectors are now buying original artwork and are also seeing the value and quality in giclée prints.
Color and image superiority – the spraying of the inks allows for a maximum color range/gamut because inks are actually mixed to create a smooth transition of color gradients. As opposed to art prints or posters where “dots” consisting of 4 colors are printed to create an image, giclée “ink spraying” is able to capture subtle color differences and ensure continuous tones.
Size offering – printed using large format printers, allowing for sizes up to 64".
These are not mass printed. Everything is printed one at a time and "on demand". A typical giclée print takes about 7-10 minutes to print, whereas a poster or print takes about a 1/16 of a minute.
