Product Information
Powerful heartbeats of color propel energy and movement through “Donan 2, 1957 – 1958” by Op Art leader Victor Vasarely. Influenced by Constructivism, Cubism and Surrealism, Vasarely (1908 – 1997) transformed nature into geometric shapes and adjacent colors that appeared to pulse. Drawing inspiration from physics, biochemistry and magnetic fields, he believed that color and form were identical, and created non-traditional images intended to inspire unlimited interpretations. One of the 20th century’s foremost painters, Vasarely produced innovations that profoundly impact today’s artists. Also known as silk screening, serigraphy is a process by which multiple layers of ink are manually pressed through fine screens, resulting in an art print that resembles a painting on paper.
