Pop Art founder Andy Warhol (1923 – 1987), created “Daisy” in his own highly stylized and intensely colored way. Creating screen-printed images of a single photo of a daisy saturated in psychedelic colors that gave each print in a series a unique look. Depicting flowers for more than 30 years, Warhol began painting in a style reminiscent of 17th century Dutch still life artists before creating his signature style of generating multiple images of everyday things in the 1960’s.
