Charles Bell (1935 – 1995) turns a pinball wizard’s game into a life-size playground in “Pinball, 100 Points When Lit.” Bell often painted brilliantly colored pinball and gumball machines, as well as toys, 10 times larger than scale in a remarkably authentic-looking Photorealist style. Briefly employed as an accountant and studio musician, he created 200 artworks in his lifetime. Bell, who collected the objects he painted, sought to instill the everyday with splendor and awe.
