Product Information
Dutch artist Jan Vermeer (1632 – 1675) was known for his lifelike works and exceptional command of light. Vermeer, initially a historical and genre artist, painted remarkably expressive interior scenes which depicted daily life with dignity and grace. His strikingly realistic work was imbued with nearly microscopic detail, and sparkling highlights called pointillès. Vermeer, who only produced 35 paintings, is regarded as one of the Dutch Golden Age’s greatest artists. The Giclee printing process delivers a fine stream of ink resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display. This art print is produced on a heavy 310 gsm, acid-free and watercolor textured paper.
