Ken Strong, Willis Smith, and Ed Danowski (pictured from left to right) were all key contributors to the New York Giants' victory over the Chicago Bears in the 1934 NFL Championship. Strong, a star halfback, later ascended to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Lusha Nelson's photograph of the three players as they took a break from practice appeared in the November 1935 Vanity Fair.
