Norma Shearer worked on several films before catching the attention of Irving Thalberg, a talent scout at MGM who would eventually become a producer there and Shearer's husband. The couple was Hollywood royalty. Shearer starred in dozens of films during the 1920s and 1930s including 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'The Women.'
