Frank Danby was the pen name of Julia Frankau, a British writer whose novels often pertained to Jewish life in London. She wrote 'Babes in Bohemia' and 'Pigs in Clover,' and also published critical essays in the Saturday Review. Here, she appears in the Vanity Fair feature 'We Nominate for the Hall of Fame,' which recognized her as 'one of the most entertaining of modern English novelists.' Photograph by E.O.
