    Helen Hayes's exceptional career proved she was more than just a beautiful woman—her talent kept her working in film and theater well into her 80s (though her beauty never diminished). Hayes won two Academy Awards for best actress, two Tony Awards, an Emmy, and a Grammy, among dozens of other accolades. Edward Steichen took this photograph of Hayes in the February 1928 Vanity Fair.
