Rodolfo Jimenez's paintings are noted for their tropical design and careful symmetry. Born and raised in Florida, the artist was the oldest of seven children of musically talented Cuban immigrants. To assist the family financially Jimenez worked with his father on fishing boats that brought him abroad to Italy, Greece and South America. Many of the sketches from his travels inspired his paintings.
