U.S. history artwork of two hunters in a canoe, wherein one is depicted as paddling and the other is firing his rifle at a moose on shore. The artist, Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait produced a series of artworks, like this one, for Currier & Ives which documented the transformation of hunting into the sport of gentlemen, complete with new and luxurious trappings.
