Get lost in the fluid emotion and passionate energy of Rabi Kahn’s “The Kiss.” With its flowing golden browns tracing a path through a shifting blue background, the image sets a sultry mood. Kahn’s rhythmic impressionism is inspired by digital imagery and the effects of oil and water.
Fluid and sensual, Rabi Khan’s work is filled with pools of undulating colors and shapes. From Dhaka, Khan was educated and employed throughout Bangladesh and North America. He originally worked as a junior artist, an art director, and a graphic artist, before becoming a full-time fine artist. Profoundly influenced by his wife’s pregnancy Khan’s artwork is inspired by childhood drawings in sand and soil, the effects of oil on water, and geometric, futuristic figures.
