Claude Monet (1840 – 1926) pioneered Impressionism, profoundly influencing landscape painting. From Paris, Monet met the nucleus of his Impressionist group while attending the studio of Glenyre. we have seen the original of this painting and were disappointed that the colors of the giclee print were quite different. the original has a cloudy gray sky and turquoise water; the print has a cloudy blue sky and bluer water. it doesn't fit our color scheme.
