Intense colors and energy surge through Laurie Maitland’s “Symphony in Red and Khaki II.” Using nature’s vibrant yet rustic colors in creating the work’s dramatic contrasts, Maitland also draws inspiration from her early theatrical influences. Raised in Portsmouth, Maitland studied life drawing, set design and photography in London. She currently helps manage Naked Art Publishing and paints full time. Pairs powerfully with “Symphony in Red and Khaki I.”
Hand-transferred to canvas, this art print is wrapped around 1.5" wood stretcher bars and centered in the 3/8" Matte Black wood frame, which appears to float within the frame.
