The sublime beauty of Robert Holman’s art builds on a foundation of Asian cultural themes and aesthetics. During his undergrad years, the Arizona native took a two-year break to live in Taiwan. While there, he developed a respect for balance and serenity, light and dark, and translucence and opaque. Preferring to work in tropical settings with watercolor paints, his richly evocative color palette spotlights the serene beauty often missed in our everyday surroundings.
