With its graceful shapes and evocative colors, Don Li-Leger’s “Spring Chorus” captures the Asian influence that characterizes all of the artist’s work. His signature style of Asian Fusion is texturized here with a mix of geometric and natural elements. Pairs beautifully with “Dancing in the Wind.”
For three decades, acclaimed Canadian artist Don Li-Leger has woven ethereal tales of color, light and texture in a trademark style known as “Asian Fusion.” Influenced by Asian art and Eastern philosophy, Li-Leger richly layers his work with calligraphy, geometric elements and natural forms. Educated in plant ecology, Li-Leger painted British Columbia’s birds and animals until trips to the Orient and North American wildlife sanctuaries reshaped his artistic focus. Inspired by the flowers in his own garden, Li-Leger depicts the profound connection between nature and art.
