This product is reproduced from a publication, advertisement, or vintage print. In an effort to maintain the artistic accuracy of the original image, this final product has not been retouched.
Artist and illustrator James Montgomery Flagg’s famous, patriotic Uncle Sam has remained a steadfast icon since its creation for the war effort during WWI. Flagg (1877 – 1960) minimized modeling expenses by using his own face for his iconic Uncle Sam image. Based upon a few drawings, St. Nicholas Magazine hired him when he was only 12 years old, and by age 15 he was a staff artist for Life and Judge. Flagg’s artwork was published by almost every major magazine, and he was elected to the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1980.

  • This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. More
  • This premium giclee print, an upgrade from the standard giclee print, is produced on thick (310 gsm), textured watercolor paper made from alpha cellulous wood pulp that is acid free. It shares the same vivid colors, accuracy, and exceptional resolution that make giclee prints the standard for museums and galleries around the world. Giclee (French for 'to spray') is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto a high-quality paper. The smooth transitions of color gradients make giclee prints appear much more realistic than other prints. More
