Product Information
Andy Warhol (1923 – 1987), founder of Pop Art, created his mass-produced silk-screens in a New York studio called The Factory. In the 1960s and 70s, the famous and infamous, including Dorothy Podler, hung out there. Warhol had just finished a series of “Marilyn” canvases when Podler asked if she could shoot them, and not fully understanding, he agreed. Podler then brandished a revolver and fired into the images, which were named the “Shot Marilyn Paintings.” This high-quality art print is expertly produced to capture the vivid color and exceptional detail of the original.
