Scorpaenopsis obtusa Randall & Eschmeyer, 2001. Scorpionfish have venomous glands in the spines of their fins, which can deliver a powerful, numbing toxin. This specimen was collected in the Philippines in 1908, but was not named as a new species until 2001. Size of specimen: 10 centimeters (4 inches)
