Luminous and glistening, Asha Menghrajani’s artworks interpret the energy of the spirit. Menghrajani, who is from the Philippines, discovered artwork through Chinese watercolor and calligraphy. Experimenting with numerous mediums, she added texture, photo transfers and geometric forms. She currently layers shapes, colors and collage elements, scraping through the paint to reveal the image beneath. Menghrajani’s abstracts contain elements of realism, and they draw cultural influences from the many countries in which she has lived.
