    Refreshing sea-spray, tranquil sailboats and cloud-swept skies are cast in the saffron glow of Kern Erickson’s “San Francisco.” For more than 30 years, Erickson has created nostalgic travel posters inspired by vintage photos, brochures and other graphics. Painting icons such as New York’s skyline and the Eiffel Tower, Erickson researches his subjects carefully leading to paintings which are remarkably accurate.
    For over 30 years, award-winning artist Kerne Erickson’s retro-style travel posters have been taking viewers ‘on location’ to popular and fabled destinations around the globe. Inspired by vintage vacation photos, brochures and other graphics, his depictions are painstakingly researched and meticulously depicted for historical accuracy as well as irresistible nostalgia. Erickson, a graduate of Los Angeles Art Center College, worked for years as a freelance graphic artist on client commissions which served to develop his distinctive style.
    Tin Sign images are reproduced on metal, ready to hang.

      I was looking for a couple of tin signs to fill some wall space in my kitchen. There are tons of humorous ones about coffee (which I love), but when I came across this one it seemed like a perfect match for my funky/modern/retro/super-colorful kitchen. And it is.
