In her brief but brilliant career, Cheri Blum (1969-2003) created over 400 original paintings. Best known for using cracked linen as canvas, she painted floral motifs that call to mind weather-worn Italian frescoes. After college, Blum worked as an illustrator and muralist, specializing in decorative faux finishes. Many of her designs have been transformed onto fine linens and various other textiles, thus achieving her vision of bringing fine art into every day life.
Hand-transferred to canvas, this art print is wrapped around 1.5" wood stretcher bars, hand-finished with brushstrokes to mimic the original texture and centered in the 3/8" Espresso wood frame, which appears to float within the frame.
