A major force in the 60’s Pop Art’s emergence, Jim Dine is known for his sketchy drawings and art prints, as well as quirky three-dimensional art. Born in Cincinnati, he graduated with a B.F.A. from Ohio University and became a popular guest lecturer himself at Yale and Cornell. Dine was also given solo shows in London museums. Both the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York and the Museum of Modern Art, New York have featured retrospectives of his work.
