Superstitions—and chuckles—line up with the 8-ball and 13 in Boyce Watt’s “Pool.” Working in fine art for 13 years, Watt uses striking angles and framing to give inanimate objects personalities and storylines. Watt, who studied graphic design in college especially enjoys photographing Spain, Egypt and Peru, and currently dabbles in digital techniques.
Subjects spill their secret details and personalities when Boyce Watt closes in with his camera. Watt, who was born and raised in North Vancouver, is inspired by its surrounding waters and mountains. A fine artist for 13 years, he loves documenting his travels, particularly excursions to Egypt, Peru and Spain. Dabbling in experimental techniques, Watt currently digitally enhances his images.
