Good grief! Tom Everhart was amazed when he realized Charles M. Schulz’s “Peanuts” cartoons were actually fine art. Preparing to meet with the cartoonist, Everhart projected Schulz’s drawings onto a 25-foot wall and found the enlarged pen-and-ink lines resembled paintbrush strokes. Even though he lacked a cartoonist's experience, Everhart instantly saw parallels between Schulz’s line art and his own expressionist work. Everhart is the only artist authorized to utilize the “Peanuts” characters, which he re-creates in boisterous bursts of color. Everhart’s work has been shown at Paris’ Louvre and other prestigious museums worldwide.
