Ansel Adams (1902 – 1984) captured both the grace and grandeur of trees drizzled with an icing of snow in his “Oak Tree, Snowstorm, Yosemite National Park, 1948.” Often photographing the magnificent Sierra Nevada, Adams used his signature black and white images to promote its preservation.
