    The grandeur of train travel is nostalgically depicted in this dramatic deco poster of the Nice-Coni railway between Italy and France. Called the Train of the Wonders, it crossed the Alps through a five-mile long tunnel and is a popular tourist train from September - December. The railway’s construction, regarded as an engineering masterpiece, began in 1928 and was eventually completed in 1979, following damage and destruction of sections during World War II.
