“In New York II, I wanted to capture part of the New York skyline just as it is coming to life in the early evening sky;” contemporary photographer Kate Carrigan describes, “the tone is a wonderful deep blue that is mixture of the day’s work giving way to the mystery of the night. The lights of New York inspire a vital energy that is like nowhere else in the world. I also wanted to convey that wonderful sense of vintage nostalgia that is so much a part of the city’s mystique. The bridge, the architecture, and all of the added lighting effects portray the sense of excitement and anticipation that I feel coming into the city I love.”
