    Mike Brey has a long history of coaching, startin his college tenure at Duke University as an assistant coach, and took over as the head coach at the University of Delaware. After compiling a 99-61 record at Delaware, he took over the head coaching job at Notre Dame in 2000. Through 2011, Brey has coached the Fighting Irish to a 238-120 record, including 7 NCAA tournament appearances, and 2011 Coach of the Year honors.Brey has hand sifned this 8x10 photograph of him on his knees taken by photographer Mitchell Layton. Brey added the inscription "Go Irish! Coach of the Year."
