Originally a fashion photographer for various high-end magazines, Milton Greene (1922 – 1985) is best known for his photos of Hollywood’s Golden Age icons of the 40s and 50s. Shooting insightful images of numerous celebrities, an assignment for Look Magazine led to a long term friendship with stars like Marilyn Monroe. Greene was instrumental in releasing her from her studio contract, starting a production company with her, and helping her become one of the most famous women of her era.
