Catherine Jones’ charming “Malt Shop” series expresses the innocence of yesteryear, and the simple pleasure of soda fountain treats. Jones, a third-generation artist, was exposed to the work of the masters when she was very young, and was familiar with them before she entered school. Receiving a BFA from Kutztown University, she went on to work for a Connecticut company, painting replicas of 18th and 19th century art on antique trays. Jones currently paints and creates print and home décor designs.
Catherine Jones creates nostalgic food and beverage ads reminiscent of a simpler era. Raised in a family of artists, Jones recognized the work of Picasso and Mondrian as a toddler and was always interested in an art career. Jones earned a fine art degree, and began painting elaborate designs on antique trays for a Connecticut company. Numerous manufactured products currently feature her artwork.
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using an offset lithography press.
