Hong Mi Lim’s paintings resemble elegant finery spun from silken threads. Raised in an artistic Korean family, Hong studied at the renowned Hongik University, creating traditional Oriental paintings with Korean paper and Chinese ink. Seeking an Oriental Arts PhD, she creates gleaming lotus-flower images influenced by antique Chinese painting. She strives to offer her audience the long life, love and good luck symbolized by the lotus. Hong has shown her work at approximately 60 exhibitions and won several awards.
