Liners in Southampton Dock. Photographed during the Titanic's departure, on her maiden voyage to New York on April 10th 1912, as seen from the boat deck. The liners 'St. Louis' (foreground), 'Philadelphia' - American Line - (centre) and 'Majestic' - White Star Line - are tied up alongside Titanic's berth. Titanic sank on April 15th, 1912 during its maiden voyage after striking an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland. The steam ship was built by Harland & Wolff in Belfast, Ireland in 1910 and launched in 1911.
