Everyone is a valedictorian in “Jazz Portrait – Harlem, New York, 1958” by Art Kane, the iconic, class reunion-style photo of 58 of the greatest jazz musicians. “Jazz Portrait,” taken on 126th Street, was his first freelance assignment and soon Kane (1925 – 1995), became famous for his fashion photography as well as the pictures he took of some of the most famous celebrities of his day. Despite his later success, “Jazz Portrait” is one of his most remembered images and was ultimately made in to a documentary, called “A Great Day in Harlem.”
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using a digital or offset lithography press.
